
Global Healing has a presence in ten countries through active involvement and through our grant program. We have established sustainable program in cardiac surgery, blood banking, and pediatrics/neonatology.
Georgia
The Jo Ann Medical Center in Tbilisi is Global Healing's flagship project, completed in 2001. It consists of pediatric and adult cardiac surgery and diagnostic centers, a blood bank, and a catheterization laboratory. Global Healing has also established a neo-natal intensive care unit (NICU) and a post-operative pediatric inpatient ward for the University of Tbilisi Medical School.

Honduras
Global Healing established the Roatán Volunteer Pediatric Clinic in 2003 to assist the Hospital Roatán with its pediatric patient load. Since then, the program has grown to facilitate an international elective for third year pediatric residents, student internship program and local pediatric fellowship. To date, more than 17,000 children have been treated at the RVPC.

Armenia
In 2005, Global Healing established a modern blood bank facility in Gyumri, Armenia. Following its model of government support, corporate contributions and countless volunteer specialist hours, the Gyumri Regional Blood Bank has achieved full self-sufficiency and is one of the most modern blood banks in the country. Global Healing has also supported the Yerevan Hematology Center since our work began in Armenia.

Dominica
In dire need of new blood banking and laboratory equipment, the Princess Margaret Hospital invited Global Healing to modernize its equipment and provide education to the medical community on modern standards and practices of transfusion medicine. Global Healing also worked with the local team to create a Public Service Announcement to stimulate volunteer blood donations.

Global Healing has recently become involved with the National Blood Transfusion Center of the Republic of Moldova. This project will include education and training opportunities for skilled healthcare workers and for the biomedical engineering community in Moldova.

Nepal
The Langtang Medical Clinic is situated in the Langtang National Park 70 kilometers north of Kathmandu. The area is a popular destination for trekkers, as well as a pilgrimage site for Hindus. Situated in a rural, isolated area, the region has poor access to even Kathmandu.

Phototherapy Light Meter

Made possible by a generous contribution by the James Doty family, Global Healing has been able to sponsor other nonprofits with programs in Central America, Africa, the Caucasus and South Asia. Inititatives are varied, but always related to sustainable programs that are highly effective.
